Prohibition Era Old Fashioned

1.5 oz. REMUS® Bourbon

2 dashes Angostura Bitters

1 Sugar Cube

1 tsp Water


Muddle sugar cube with water. Add Angostura bitters until the sugar dissolves. Add REMUS Bourbon. Stir briefly, then add ice. Squeeze a small slice of lemon, drop in and enjoy.

While the Old Fashioned was a fixture before and after Prohibition, it especially made for the perfect antidote for downtrodden souls in the 1920s. While a bit more high maintenance to craft, the result makes the work worth it.

Plus, when you add in REMUS Bourbon, you get an Old Fashioned that’s as old-fashioned as it gets.
